Imagine a large technical sales force distributed across the entire world. The sales manager wants each of his salesmen completely up-to-date on all things clinical, technical, and businical. He buys each salesman an ipod shuffle, creates a special company briefing podcast and has the tech staff setup each sales laptop to automatically grap his latest rant and put in within easy listening reach. Instant company radio briefing.

Now substitute salesmen with hipsters and sales manager with self-important-douche and the worlds intelligentsia consumes itself in a self-referential orgy.

And I believe all AJAX implementations use the XMLHTTPRequest function even if they are actually passing XML.

Dude, I still don't get *blogging*. You set up a web site and you like, update it regularly? And trackbacks/pingbacks? Can't you just look at the 'referer' [sic] logs?
